Emily Smith spent the majority of her childhood in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania just north of Philadelphia. She traveled to far away Washington State University in Pullman, Washington for her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science. After spending a couple years working with Ventana Wildlife Society, traveling a bit and substitute teaching, Emily began her adventures at CSUMB with the RISE program in August of 2002. In July of 2006 she changed paths a bit and began working with Return of the Natives, following her passion for helping the earth through habitat restoration. "The RON mission is to bring people closer to nature and nature closer to people, connecting people to nature is so needed in this world today and I'm excited to be a part of this wonderful program."
