Stewardship Council:
Youth benefit greatly from compelling and consistent outdoor experiences, whether in urban or wilderness areas. The outdoors uniquely transforms individuals through personal, social, and academic growth. Unfortunately, the most needy — poor and underserved youth — have the least access to these life-changing experiences. By supporting the efforts of community parks and youth development programs, as well as incubating new efforts in communities most in need, the Stewardship Council aims to make a difference in the lives of young Californians and help build the future stewards of our state. Due dates Spring 2008 for various amounts of funding from $5000-$200,000
