PARK MISSION

Natividad Creek Park is a community-created sanctuary designed to reintroduce nature into the community. Inspired by the deep admiration and respect many native cultures have of the natural world, the park strives to bring people back to nature by bringing nature to the people. It was designed to bring people throughout the Salinas area together in a beautiful and natural setting. All plants are native species indigenous to the area, and it provides habitats for a wide variety of animal species.

In addition to the natural beauty Natividad Creek Park displays, it also offers educational opportunities for visitors to consider. A nature trail with multimedia interactive informational stations is being set up to teach visitors about the importance of such things as ecofuntions while giving concrete examples of how the roots of the plant they are seeing clean the water supply. Natividad Community Park also hosts a variety of community celebrations, including an annual Earth Day celebration.

Natividad Creek Park’s community vision is to spread a love and understanding of the natural world and of the role we play in its future. Come experience the wonders of nature for yourself!
